Packaging:
GREAT name. Ungava. Sounds very exotic. Most people aren't going to know where Ungava is. GREAT emblem. I really like the stylized U and custom font! Very classy look. White on white. Simple, feminine but not obvious. I like that the bottles are recyclable. I'm paying much more attention these days and will quite often not buy a product because the packaging is excessive or not recyclable. Especially for products I consume on a regular basis. I noticed in the brochure that the ingredients are a proprietary but I think customers are going to expect to see at least a list of active ingredients on the bottles because some are going to be very concerned about allergies while others are looking for specific chemicals like "glycolic acid" or "retinol" or even certain kinds of alcohol.

Smell/perfume:
The smell is so fresh and subtle!

Facial cleansing gel:
Oh, I love it! I don't know what a hazelnut is so I had to guess at how much to use; maybe saying ‘pea-size' or using a more common nut J would be more widely understood. It wasn't sticky and I expected a gel to be sticky. A little bit went a long way and it didn't dry my skin like other cleansers do. Very gentle. I really liked that it was a clear gel without color because it made me think ‘clean'.

Sunset anti-aging cream:
Very nice! Nice texture. Light. Maybe a little thin; I usually expect anti-aging products to be a little heavier because I always think it has to be to make me look younger. It left my skin feeling tingly, as if something was actually doing something. It also left my skin feeling soft and moist for a very long time so I felt protected. This makes me think that the cream is actually thick enough because it spreads well and stays on for a long time. A little bit went a long way and it isn't greasy like some anti-aging products are.

Eye & lip contour cream:
Again very nice! It doesn't sting which I appreciate because I'll probably use it while wearing contact lenses. My lips feel soft and moist; not like a balm but I can tell there's something on them. No taste as far as I can tell.

Brochure:
I'm looking at the brochure and it says "Nunavik algae extract".You know what? Not many people are going to know what a Nunavik is. I had to look it up I'm afraid
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nunavik. I can see why you're so busy with Kuujjuuaq becoming like a capital city in 2011. I really like that no animals were involved in anything related. Okay! Wow. Betcha you're sorry you asked?!? I love trying different skin care products as you can tell. I'm really looking forward to seeing the benefits and will keep you posted on any changes that I experience!

Bye for now!

After receiving chemotherapy five years ago, my skin became very sensitive to skincare products. Since that time, I have been on what I was beginning to believe was a futile quest to find a skincare line that worked for me. I tried dozens of skincare lines in an attempt to discover a product that would keep my face moisturized all day yet be light enough to leave my face feeling refreshed.  Most products were either too heavy or so light that within a couple of hours my skin felt very dry.    I tried the Ungava line with no expectations that these products would be any different than the others I had tried but I am delighted to say that I was very wrong. I have finally found the perfectly balanced products for which I had been searching. The products are light on my skin but keep my face feeling moisturized and refreshed all day long. I have been using the products for two months and my skin looks healthier than it has in several years.  It is just an added bonus to know that the products are created of seaweed from the Inuit region of Northern Quebec!
